Obituary of Allen John Chocorlan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allen at Markham Stouffville
Hospital on November 13, 2024, at the age of 76, just days short of his 77 th birthday. He
will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years Barbara (née Pearson), his children Kevin
(Liisa), Kent, Kyle, and Kristen (Lonny), as well as his grandchildren James, Maija,
Dylan, Jake, Elle, and Kaela and bonus grandchildren Hannah and Darian. Allen was
always extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them deeply.

Allen very much enjoyed his 36-year career at the Toronto Transit Commission where
he retired as a Deputy General Manager. He also enjoyed time at his cottage on
Sturgeon Lake where he spent his time kayaking, model railroading, and wood carving.
Other interests of his included photography as well as coaching and mentoring youth
through wrestling, hockey, and lacrosse.

Visitation will occur at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street Markham
North, Markham on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the
Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m.  Reception to follow Funeral Service.

Diabetes Canada or Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
