MARVA ANN BESSEY (nee TETFORD) With amazing grace at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at age 64. Cherished wife of Tony, mother and best of friends to Chris, beloved sister to Bonnie and Murray, dear daughter to Joyce and Sam and remarkable grandmother to the light of her life, Maddy. A woman of formidable love, strength, warmth and humour, Marva's many friends and large family will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road), Markham on Wednesday, September 2nd (2-4, 7-9 p.m.). Service by Rev. Jeff Doucette to begin Thursday, September 3rd at 1 p.m., Dunbarton-Fairport United Church, 1066 Dunbarton Road, Pickering, ON L1V 1G8. Interment to follow at Erskine Cemetery, 886 Finch Avenue, Pickering, ON. As expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital Palliative Care.
