GRIDLEY, Norman Charles July 31, 1942 - May 30, 2015 Retired Metropolitan Toronto Police Officer 1966 - 1996 Peacefully and surrounded by love Norm passed away at home at the age of 72. With him were his wife and soulmate Rose (McKay) and his loving daughters Michelle Lopez (Mike) and Jennifer Gridley (Brad Fillmore). Norm was the only child of Norman Charles Sr. and Mildred (Parker). He was the 'step' father of Kevin Roskar (Eileen) and Scott Roskar (Michelle). Cherished grandfather of Izabella, Jacob, Gracie, Makenzy, Jaxson, Parker, Shannon, Colin, Michael and Emma. Family and friends will be received at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. North (Markham Road), Markham on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 11 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital -Chemotherapy Clinic where Norm received excellent and compassionate care.
