I remember Matthew's winning smile and gentle humorous personality. Whe I worked with him at Stouffville Secondary School 3 years ago I enjoyed working with him in class. He was a bright shining star! My thoughts and heart are with his family at this sad time.

Bruno, Marlene, and boys, My heart sank when I read the news about Matthew. He will be missed deeply. Matthew was a one-of-a kind of patient that I had the pleasure of taking care of. He was a young kid with an old soul taste in music and style. His smile would light up a room. I take comfort in knowing Heaven has gained another angel who is smiling down at us. Or perhaps for Matthew, shall I say, in the words of the great Frank Sinatra now we have “Someone to Watch Over Me” from Heaven. My prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time.

A life well loved is how I would describe your life Matthew. I knew you from a wee one, who was fiesty and you were a little boy who knew how to win your nurses' hearts.
