Dear Aunt Barbara and Family, my sincere condolences for the loss of Uncle Bill. He was such a vibrant man who was just easy to get along with and will be sorely missed. Some of my favourite memories are when we would get together and they would be playing music with the Black Velvet Band. I hope he and Uncle Trevor are Jamming up in heaven right now.
Sending my love during this difficult time my apologies for not being able to get there in person
With Love

Leslie and I were shocked to hear the news. We spent time with him at his 80th birthday celebration and he graced us at our office holiday lunch. Bill will always be remembered as a gentleman. In many ways he was a private person, yet always spoke very proudly of his family. When you got to him, his compassion for others and his sense of humour were boundless. Our deepest condolences to Barb, his daughters and their families.
He will be missed, but never be forgotten in our hearts.
RIP.....my friend

I am sorry to hear of Bills passing. I worked with Bill over 20 years ago, when he had an office at Prosure. I am forever grateful to Bill, for educating me on RRSP's and savings when I was 23. I am in a very good place in life as a result of his advice all those years ago.
My deepest condolences to Barb and family. Bill was a genuine, caring man.

To Barb and family,
I remember the first time I met Bill at an industry event. He was passionate about what he did and cared about people and that was obvious from the first second I met him. He also had a fantastic and dry sense of humor, insisting that Barb was in the trunk of the car. I, like Bill, have a dry sense of humor and from that meeting onward, we would joke together and I always asked if Barb was in the trunk.
I will miss him greatly as he became a mentor to me in many ways,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time,
Brian Shumak

Dear Barbara, Alison, Celia and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Bill. It’s never easy to find the right words when someone so dear to us passes, but please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
I had the privilege of working with Bill in Toronto at ‘Pru’ over 40 years ago, and we shared many good times. I always enjoyed his company and admired his positive spirit.
About six years ago, I had the chance to reconnect with Bill during a "Pru" reunion in Kitchener, with some of our old comrades. It was wonderful to see him again, still cheerful and full of life. He called me "Brownie," and we had a great time reminiscing and sharing stories of the past.
As we grieve Bill’s passing, let us hold on tightly to the precious memories of his warmth and kindness. "Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and held so dear." May we carry those loving memories in our hearts forever.
Bill's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in all of us.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Layden

What a sad day when Barb called regarding Bill's passing. I have known Barb and Bill since the last 1960s both in Montreal and here. Hard to believe as they had been to my home for a party two weeks ago. He was in such a happy frame of mind and I was delighted to see him and Barb. Such a sad day.
