I was saddened to learn of John's passing. Condolences to Vivien and family, I knew John as a parishioner at St. Patrick's Parish, as a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a fellow golfer... although we were members of different golf clubs, whenever we met, golf was a topic of discussion. John certainly was a gentleman, who displayed the highest qualities of integrity and dignity... another good man has left us! Unfortunately, while I will not be able to attend the funeral Mass, as I am visiting family in Calgary, I intend to participate in the livestream presentation.
Prayers and kindest regards.

Growing up I spent much time in the Doyle Household. I was made to feel like an extended member of his family. I was always greeted by John with a smile and a warm welcome. I will remember his sense of humour, his love of golf and his love for his family here and in England. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and Prayers are with the Doyle family.
