It was always a welcome sight when Ashmore paid us a visit at the family business, Timber Creek. He knew us workers by name and took time to make us feel welcome by asking questions and seeing how we were doing. Ashmore is remembered as kind, gentle, patient man.

Ashmore was a dedicated member of the Markham community and the Reesor family. He made important and memorable contributions including to the Markham Museum. His sense of humour and presence will be missed by many. With sincere condolences to all who mourn this loss, from Rena Mingay, Martha Mingay and our family.

I live in a house that is surrounded by fields that Ashmore farmed. He knew I loved when he planted corn in the fields around my house, but he had to rotate crops so I never knew what crop he was planting, but when he was planting corn he would always give me a thumbs up as he drove the tractor by my house, and I would know he was planting corn!
I always knew him to be a very sweet man. Godspeed !
My condolances to the family. The first time I met Ashmore was when I locked myself our of a neighbour's house where I was baby-sitting He rescued me from the winter weather until someone came with a key to let me back into the house.. He was an outstanding member of the Reesor clan.
I first worked with Ashmore on our Reesor Family's Genealogy Committee. He was a kind and thoughtful man who contributed much to the Committee's work. I will always remember him both at Markham Museum's Apple Fest - and the Markham Fair - demonstrating to engaged audiences the operation of the big belt saw as it cut large logs into useful planks as the true farmer that he was. I will miss his gentle good nature given our frequent interactions in Markham and elsewhere. His memory is a blessing for all who knew him.
So sorry to hear of Ashmore’s passing. Always remember our minor hockey days. Lots of fun at the farm. He was so humble and patient. A wonderful family man who cared for everyone. Will certainly miss him.
