Obituary of Jeffrey Grover Ludlow

LUDLOW, Jeffrey Grover (1955 - 2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeff on Good Friday, March 29 2024 at Humber River Hospital just into his 70th year. He is greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly Lavender of 9 years and his older twin, Gregory C. Ludlow (Myrna Robb) and younger brother, R. Kelly F. Ludlow. He will be missed by many cousins and dear friends. Jeff was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan on March 16, 1955 to Catherine (nee Crowley) and Grover (Babe) Ludlow Jr. He moved with his family to Winnipeg, then Edmonton before the family settled in Markham, Ontario in 1963. He graduated Markham District High School with honours and then went on to York University, Toronto where he obtained a BA in Political Science. He also obtained a degree in computer science from George Brown College, Toronto. During his university years he proudly served as a Guardsman and then Corporal in the Governor-General's Foot Guards.  He worked as a computer data analyst for many years. His first love was visual arts - drawing and painting including life models, landscapes and plein aire landscapes. His spectacular art can be seen at <jglartofthesoul.net>. He played badminton with a close group of dear friends and won more games than he lost with an especially great cross court drop shot. Jeff retired due his challenges with Parkinsons although he still practised visual arts. He loved life, his family and friends was always friendly and of good cheer. His optimism never flagged. Jeff was predeceased by his mother, Catherine and father, Babe. An internment to follow later at Elmwood Cemetery, 6150 Hwy 7, Markham. Details of date and time to be posted later.
