Rest in peace to a great neighbor (Ernie) who was always there for our family in need. Ernie was a great inspiration to the neighborhood. He will be dearly missed. God speed to you Ernie.

Grandad Ernie, What can I say? Though I know you have gone to a better place and you heard the birthday party going on for Nana Gloria and just had to get there, I thought you were invincible!!. Yourself and Gloria were such a huge part of our family, in fact I could not have raised the girls without you. Your selflessness and full on support, I don't have enough Thank you's that can add up to everything yourself and Gloria did for myself and the girls. I will miss our talks for hours about nothing and the repeated ones in the end :-). Thank you for teaching me how to drive, how to smile when I couldn't and for being there for me when I wasn't even family. I will forever be grateful to yourself and Gloria and will miss you (both) terribly!! Love you!! Nikki and the GIrls

Uncle Ernie’s presence in the lives of my family is so very strong. He and Aunt Gloria were god-parents to my brother and there were so many times they were there for me and my son also.
When my parents had the Lodge he was always there to help with the opening and closing, renovations, family week fishing, jokes, laughter and so many vivid memories come to mind. It also always took him twice the driving time to arrive north but he had his favorite places to stop at on the way. My job when he was working with my father, Terry Lea, was to follow them both and pick up the tools that were left behind. His life-long friendship with them both was something that I know they both valued.
I am so sorry that dementia robbed him of those memories of good times with friends and family. He will be sorely missed.
