Eileen Winton

Obituary of Eileen Gladys Winton

The one, the only, Eileen Winton passed away peacefully on the Sabbath, Sunday July 31, 2022 at her long term care residence, Chartwell Woodhaven in Markham.

Our families were so fortunate to celebrate with Mom on her 100th Birthday this past February.

The last member of her large family. Sister’s Velma, Jean and Shirley Ann. Brother’s Albert, Roy, Wilfred, William, Bruce, Carl and Warren.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband James Sinclair Winton of Agincourt and precious first Grandchild Adam.

Eileen will be truly missed by her daughter Beverley, Partner Peter and Grandson Derek. Her son Brad and wife Roberta. Their daughters Jaime and Mike Brown, Kari and Wayne Russell, Jenna and Ryan Moreira.  Eileen was so proud of her great grand children Addison and Merrick Russell and Bodhi Moreira.

Because of Mom’s large family she will be fondly remembered by Nieces, Nephews, great Nieces and Nephews and even great, great Nieces and Nephews. Also, her dear friends who supported Mom in many ways from personal care, visiting, flowers, phone calls and Hallmark cards.

Mom’s stay at Woodhaven was a wonderful experience and we can’t say enough about the staff and their compassionate personal support workers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen’s memory to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation at www.mshs.on.ca.

Online condolences can be made here.
