My sincere condolences to the Stokes Family
I had the pleasure of working with Bob at CIL. I also played quite a few games of golf at Spring Lakes with him and the gang. I always laughed when he would talk about his old curling days at the Caledonia Curling Club in Montreal and it turened out we knew some of the same people from Scotstown
Again, my sympathies to the family.

Dear Mary, Greg & Peter,
My heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences on the passing of your husband/Dad.
Bob and I go back to the early 1970’s when I first joined CIL. We endured the head office move to TO. He was a great guy, super family man and avid golfer
He played lots of rounds with John Guy and my former neighbour Gord Hansen.
Ironically Peter and I both worked @ HP for awhile and Meg was on the board with me for the Angus Glen Ratepayers Ass’n. I always told Peter or Meg to say hi to Bob & Mary for me.
May wonderful memories of a life well lived fill your hearts with love….forever

Mary, Pete, Greg & families
My heartfelt condolences to you all on Bob’s passing.
I have many fond memories of Bob. We worked together for many years & he taught me all I know about marine shipping.
We worked together on many an Ammonium Nitrate shipment - a container or two or a 10,000 ton boat load. He knew his stuff.
I loved hearing from Bob in later years. He was always very proud of his family & his projects.
Will always remember the twinkle in his eye.
Rest In Peace, dear Bob.

My most sincere condolences to you all.Such tragic news.
Bob was an ICON. No other word can explain him. A true Professional
A mentor to me, he started me on my life path in Transportation at CIL in Montreal which led to a career for me of 39 plus years with CIL and its various iterations in Toronto and eventually to Denver Colorado.
Always a smile on his face and a trick up his sleeve ready for what ever life threw at him.. I have many fond memories of travelling with him learning the trade and listenning to him relay his experiences of business and his family.
Laterally we corresponded via E mail where he kept me posted about the family. His Pride and Joy.
Bob you will be missed. Rest in Piece my friend. To the Family, may his memories live forever.
Cheers.
